Endodontics
Endodontics (root canal treatment) is a branch of dentistry that focuses on treating the innermost part of the tooth: the nerve and the root canals. When the nerve becomes inflamed or damaged, it can cause severe pain or infection. During endodontic treatment - often better known as a root canal - the inflamed tissue is carefully removed, the canals are cleaned, and then hermetically sealed. This allows the natural tooth to be preserved and the mouth to remain healthy.
